Many scientists have been involved in the division of open streams. Existing methods for calculating fission nodes do not allow choosing their optimal designs that create a favorable regime dividing flows. Most available results studies are scattered, non-systematic, and some cases, contain data coincide with each other. The conducted were carried out mainly steady flow regime; turbulence issues section little studied. However, practice, an unsteady increase often observed, which leads to complex channel processes water intake area. aim work is develop refined method hydraulic calculation calm regime. This goal achieved by analytical solution problem determining depth under paper uses theoretical using equation changing momentum, laboratory on model, field surveys existing units, analysis experimental literature this issue. According studies, calculated dependencies obtained determine main front node. cubic concerning OX axis quadratic OY axis.
